I love every season in New York. Even when the snow turns to slush. That’s true love.

This is Myrtle. We work together at The Current. She sheds a lot and always has her tongue sticking out. It’s quite endearing. I suspect that she secretly runs the office.

NOLA 2012.
We had an amazing time in New Orleans! A friend of Erin’s got us in touch with a lovely couple [Jonathan + Je t’aime] who let us stay in their apartment for the weekend. Their place was close to the city center which was really convenient. We all had a good time and I think everyone returned home happy and refreshed. Enjoy the photos!

What movie made you cry? →
The Fox and The Hound was one of the first movies that ever made me cry. I think it’s because I so badly wanted a happy ending, but it didn’t happen and that really upset me.

My internship at The Current begins today!
neck flare.
I am on the brink of a necklace phase. Here are the goods that I’m eyeing:
Paired Hexagons.
Triangles.
Morse Code.
Compass.
Embroidered Initials.
Note: I got my mom the morse code necklace for Christmas this year and became instantly jealous when I took a sneak peak of it while wrapping gifts. It’s so delicate and beautiful! The best part is that the gold beads...

goodbye and hello.
I’ve decided to quit my internship at The Alamo Colleges. While it was cool to work with the international programs department and my knowledge about study abroad definitely expanded, I know that I’ve learned as much as I am ever going to learn in that office. Also, I really disliked my cubicle. People aren’t meant to sit in spaces like that for hours. It’s time for a...

ALL THE OF THE PRESENTS THAT I WANT TO GET PEOPLE FOR CHRISTMAS ARE ON BACKORDER.
FML.
express christmas.
This weekend was filled with parties. Okay. Just two parties, but they were both awesome. On Friday, we attended a Teach for America Christmas gathering at The Witte, which was very much identical a high school homecoming dance (minus the speeches, plus the alcohol). The DJ was similar in that he would play the same musical genre back to back. For instance, two salsa songs in a row, or two rap...

Why Love Actually, despite being a terrible movie, is actually a great movie.
a different perspective.
Lucie & Simon’s projects are conceived as series of photographs (Earth Vision, Scenes of life, Living images, Silent World) which all outsmart our perception of reality by staging a quirky view of daily life. From urban or family solitude to existential wanderings, their compositions capture different moods of man’s silent melancholy, focusing on the narrow chink between our existence...

A Shreveport Thanksgiving.
This year we drove up to Shreveport, LA to celebrate Thanksgiving with Shane’s brother. The rest of his family drove in from Virgina and together we spent the majority of the week lounging on the oh-so-comfortable couches. Some magnetic force kept us gathered in the living room for most of the week, but to be honest, that’s exactly what I wanted. We watched lots of movies, played some games, had...
